Hi there, I’m Roxie.
First of all, whether you were referred to me or have just stumbled across this website, I know how complex and sometimes frustrating it can be to choose a new therapist based off of a few paragraphs and their picture. This is hard, I see you. Let me help you out a little.
Maybe you’re here because you grew up in a family where addiction was always an invisible extra family member that no one spoke about. Or maybe you deeply love someone who is in the throws of their own addiction and you can feel your boundaries disappearing as you try and care for them. Maybe you, yourself, are struggling with returning over and over again to something that doesn’t ever seem to quite meet the longing you have inside, but you keep going back. If these are you, I would be happy to help you navigate this journey.
What if addiction has nothing to do with your story? You are frustrated with this nagging feeling that you’re missing something. You look familiar in the mirror but somehow still feel disconnected to your own self and, therefore, to others around you. You want strong relationships and you want to have a felt sense of who you are in those relationships. If any of this strikes a cord, I think I would be a great fit for you.
Possibly you’re in the midst of a huge life transition- or even a “small” one that has you really shaken up. You feel like you’re spinning on a carousel and can’t seem to get off onto solid ground. Let me help you with that, it sounds exhausting.
I love my job because I am constantly shocked at how resilient people are and how strongly they desire to heal, even when life has consistently given them reasons to believe they can’t. You can! It’s a process and I would love to be on that journey with you.
I work with ages 13 and up and see families, couples, and individuals. I am also trained in EMDR and will begin training in Somatic Experiencing later this year.
I am more than happy to schedule a consultation call if you have follow-up questions or would just like to see how it feels to have a conversation with me.
